Award Ceremony & Kitchen Party

  • Hotel “El Andaluz” and Restaurant “Don Quichotte” (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

We kick off the evening at Hotel El Andaluz, located directly opposite Hotel Colosseo. The award ceremony will take place in the lobby on a small stage, with guests standing at high tables. The program is deliberately short and dynamic: five laudations, five awards, and the Vox Populi Award.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continues at the Don Quichotte restaurant with an energetic kitchen party. Expect live music, salsa vibes, and a DJ taking over from midnight. The party wraps up at around 3:00 AM.

Dress Code: We encourage to opt for festive or cocktail attire

The Zoo of The Future

Speaker: Andy van den Broeck

What happens when technology serves the story, not the other way around? At Zoo of the Future, we discovered something remarkable: visitors didn't want less screen time. They asked for more. More VR. More exploration. More time inside the experience.

This is what's possible when you stop treating technologies as competing attractions and start stacking them as amplifying layers. Each one building on the last, deepening engagement instead of fragmenting it. And here's the secret that made it all work: radical simplicity. One finger. That's all anyone needed to navigate an entire world of immersive wonder. No tutorials. No friction. Just pure, intuitive discovery. This is the future we're building. Experiences where the technology disappears and the magic stays.

Digital Humans in Film and XR: Volumetric Capture and AI Meet Storytelling

This keynote by Sven Bliedung von der Heide explores how XR, AI, and volumetric capture are revolutionizing the way stories are created and experienced and provide an inside look at how digital humans are becoming a powerful creative tool across film, immersive media, and extended reality.

Drawing on high-profile Hollywood productions such as The Matrix Resurrections and Mickey 17, the session offers practical insights into integrating volumetric capture into feature film workflows. It also examines the pivotal role AI plays in the creation, processing, and enhancement of these digital performances.

Beyond cinema, the keynote highlights the impact of volumetric technology in XR and documentary contexts—including the immersive preservation of Holocaust survivors' testimonies. Sven will demonstrate how Voluverse, Volucap’s XR platform, enables the seamless integration of digital humans into immersive environments, opening new frontiers for storytelling, history, and interaction.

From Motion to Meaning:  The Near Future of Intelligent Virtual Characters

Speaker: Anica Wilhelm, Meshcapade

We are entering a new era of interactive entertainment in which virtual characters will no longer simply move through our worlds, but will increasingly understand, react, and participate in them.
